Privacy policy

Last updated 5 October 2026.

Who runs this site: Tinybridge Ventures Private Limited, WeWork Galaxy, 43 Residency Road, Richmond Town, Bangalore 560025, Karnataka, India, reachable at hello@constituition.org.

This page says what constituition.org collects when you read it, search it, sign in and use your account, subscribe to the newsletter or write to us, why, who else sees it, how long it is kept, and what you can ask us to do.

How you sign in

You can sign in with a six-digit code sent to your email, or with Google. There are no passwords. Sign-in runs on our own service at auth.constituition.org.

If you sign in with Google, Google tells us your name, email address, profile picture and an account number it uses for you. We ask for nothing else: not your contacts, files, mail, posts or connections. We use these details only to create your account and sign you in. We never post anything on your behalf.

constituition.org’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

What we keep

  • Your account: your email address. If you sign in with Google, also the name, profile picture and account number Google sent, and the sign-in tokens it issued, which are used only to complete sign-in.
  • What you save: the articles you save to your list.
  • The newsletter: if you subscribe, your email address. Signing in never subscribes you.
  • Messages you send us: if you use the contact form, your email address, subject and message, the page you sent it from, and the emails it produced — one to us and a copy to you.
  • The readers list: if you joined it before 5 October 2026, your email address. Signing in no longer adds anyone to it.
  • Sign-in sessions: when you signed in, the IP address and the browser you used, so you stay signed in and so we can stop misuse.
  • Request logs: Cloudflare and our servers record requests, including IP address and browser type, for a short time, to keep the site working and secure.

Without an account, anything you save stays in your own browser’s storage on this site, not with us, until you sign in; then it moves to your account. Clearing this site’s data in your browser removes what is still there.

Your account here is separate from any account you have on our other sites. We do not combine them.

Who else sees it

  • Google, if you choose to sign in with it, sees that you signed in to this site.
  • Search: what you type into search is sent to our search service (Meilisearch, on our own server) and to Voyage AI, which turns the words into a form the search can match. It is not linked to your account.
  • Our hosting: Cloudflare, which runs the site and stores your saved list; Hetzner (Germany), for the sign-in and search services, and for Directus, which keeps newsletter sign-ups and contact messages.
  • Email: Listmonk, on our own server, sends our emails through Amazon SES. It sends your sign-in code without keeping your address; it holds your address if you subscribe to the newsletter, or joined the readers list before 5 October 2026.
  • Authorities, where the law requires it.

Buying the Constitution Tote happens on the cats of kochi shop, under its own privacy policy.

We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it with advertisers. We count visits with Plausible, hosted on our own server. It sets no cookies and does not identify you; it records the page, where you came from, your browser type and country, and links and files you open.

Cookies and browser storage

Sign-in sets a cookie on auth.constituition.org that keeps you signed in (Google sign-in also sets short-lived ones that protect the hand-off, removed when it finishes), and the site sets one that remembers you are signed in. The site also keeps your list in your browser’s storage, as described above. None of these is used for advertising.

How long we keep it

  • Your account and what you saved: until you ask us to delete your account.
  • The newsletter and the readers list: until you unsubscribe, using the link in any newsletter or by writing to us.
  • Messages you send us: until you ask us to delete them.
  • Sign-in sessions: 60 days from your last visit, or until you sign out.
  • Request logs: a few days.
  • Sign-in codes: ten minutes, then they stop working.

What you can ask us to do

You can see, correct or delete your account, and leave the newsletter or the readers list, by writing to hello@constituition.org. Deleting your account deletes what you saved and removes you from the readers list. You can also remove constituition.org’s access to your Google account from Google’s own security settings.
